While creative director for Grey Ad. (w. coast)  During the Nixon administration. (which I was a consultant for his re-election)   Later, I took time off to do PR work for the Defense Dept. to bolster their sagging public image. We met at Norton AFB and discussed several advanced R&D projects we felt would make interesting TV specials.  After several  discussions We were taken into a "clean room" (not  bugged because CIA used it for training films)  Wide eyed we were informed the Air Force had made actual ground contact with an alien craft with occupants at Holloman AFB - it was filmed by Norton AF crew . I was slackjawed! I did not believe in UFOs. We were told "If interested contact a base officer and arrangements will be made". This began our project "UFOs Past Present and Future" we had un-precedent cooperation from Air  Force and Pentagon. We were advised to bury the UFO project but encourage to follow up on other projects.   UFOs, were considered a red flag subject and we cooperated. We met at the Pentagon - never signed in - received 100% cooperation and were put in touch with the past heads of Project Blue Book, also the Pentagon spokesman and Commander of Foreign Technology  Cut to the chase; used Rod Sterling as host with Burgess Meredith and Jose Ferrer as on camera plus AF heads of Blue Book. and military person (with CIA cooperation)  We only featured the sightings investigated they found to be "Un Known"  This was the only time, so far, the Pentagon cooperated with any outside group - Disney was earlier approached but it never worked out.  The TV special was nominated for a Golden Globe Award the same year Ms. MacLaine won.  It was paid for by John D. Macarthur (Bankers Life)  Conclusion:  They hid nothing and acknowledged the UFO sighting as real and no cover up of facts  Air Force Blue book officers concluded the objects, not ID'd  were most probably intelligently operated vehicles not from earth. Oh yes, and on camera!    -  the show had a limited exposure but with a 45 share. SO WHAT'S THE FUSS ABOUT KUCINICH SAYING HE SAW A UFO???  This is the 21st century!
