In an interview with the Wall Street Journal Shirley MacLaine has made additional comments about the Kucinich outing. In her most recent book, Sage-ing While Age-ing,  MacLaine explained how presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich witnessed a close encounter with a UFO while at her home in Washington State 25 years ago.

The book reference led to a question being put to Kucinich by Tim Russert during an October presidential debate. In the WSJ interview Jeffery Trachtenberg, the book publishing reporter at the Wall Street  Journal,  asked Shirley to comment on the position her revelation had placed Kucinich in.

Trachtenberg: I believe that midway through your book you talk about Dennis Kucinich actually see a…

MacLaine: He didn’t actually see a star being. He saw a craft.

Trachtenberg: A spaceship from your balcony.

MacLaine: Yah.

Trachtenberg: Were you concerned when you wrote that into your book that he might have to address that?

MacLaine: It never even occurred to me. I didn’t know that he was going to run for President. I certainly didn’t know that Tim Russert was going to bring it up. What on earth made him do that?

Shirley MacLaine has added to her story of what US Presidents know or do not know about the subject of UFOs. The question of what the President knows is important because as head of sixteen intelligence agencies he (or she) should have the best possible answer to “What is the explanation for UFOs that have been reported by millions of people since WW11?

MacLaine has stated on more than one occasion that she has discussed the issue of UFOs with many US presidents. Now in an interview with Dave Rabbit at Abovetopsecret.com. The question posed to MacLaine was.

How would you propose to get definite answers from our government?

I’ll tell you what Dave. That is something that not even Jimmy Carter could not get. He told me when he was President – because he had seen a UFO etc. He told me that he had gone into investigating with his intelligence what they were etc., and he was told that basically Presidents or the executive branch is not on a need to know.And I saw him not to long ago. I was campaigning for his son (Jack Carter running for Senate) in Nevada. We had dinner together...

The date is November 9, 2007. We have just passed the 60 year anniversary of when UFOs became a United States government public relations problem.

The scene on November 9^th looked promising. Thanks to a UFO questions posed to presidential campaigners Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson the UFO issue was now being discussed by media all over the United States. Not only was it being discussed, it was being done in a tone that was not quite as condescending as in the past.

The future looked bright. On November 12, there was going to be news conference at the National Press Club in Washington where high ranking pilots and officials from around the world would be telling their stories of UFO encounters.

The Clinton Library had just released 18 Freedom of Information Act Requests related to files from the Bill Clinton White House files. The release was a big story because Hillary Clinton was still the front runner to be the next U.S. president and some of these FOIAs were her files from the Clinton White House.
