Shirley MacLaine has added to her story of what US Presidents know or do not know about the subject of UFOs. The question of what the President knows is important because as head of sixteen intelligence agencies he (or she) should have the best possible answer to “What is the explanation for UFOs that have been reported by millions of people since WW11?

MacLaine has stated on more than one occasion that she has discussed the issue of UFOs with many US presidents. Now in an interview with Dave Rabbit at Abovetopsecret.com. The question posed to MacLaine was.

How would you propose to get definite answers from our government?

I’ll tell you what Dave. That is something that not even Jimmy Carter could not get. He told me when he was President – because he had seen a UFO etc. He told me that he had gone into investigating with his intelligence what they were etc., and he was told that basically Presidents or the executive branch is not on a need to know.And I saw him not to long ago. I was campaigning for his son (Jack Carter running for Senate) in Nevada. We had dinner together and I asked him again, and he said I don’t know. So I can’t answer it if he can’t.

This answer agrees with the story told by civil rights attorney Daniel Sheehan who has told the story that president-elect Jimmy Carter asked for the UFO files from then CIA director George Bush, and was told that he did not have a need to know. This Bush/Carter story was recently denied by Jimmy Carter when asked about it by a UFO skeptic buff during an interview.
