Billy Cox, a Florida Journalist has been looking for him. So has Dr. Steven Greer. UFO lobbyist Steven Bassett invited him to a conference next spring to announce his plans for UFO disclosure. So far there is no news that Richardson has replied to the invites and the questions.
So what's the Bill deal? Richardson is a politician which puts him into the book of “Scoundrels I have Known and Loved." It’s not like he’s expected to reply to everyone – or anyone.
Well, the key here is that Richardson has been interested in UFOs in the past, and Ufologists are eternal optimists. In 2004, Richardson was quoted talking about the famous Roswell UFO crash in a book written about the archaeological dig at the supposed crash site called “The Roswell Dig Diaries.”
"Clearly, it would help everyone if the U.S. government disclosed everything it knows," said Richardson, who served as Energy secretary under President Bill Clinton. "The American people can handle the truth -- no matter how bizarre or mundane. ... With full disclosure and our best scientific investigation, we should be able to find out what happened on that fateful day in July 1947."
Further to this, as New Mexico governor, Richardson has been a big
promoter of Spaceport America near Upham, New Mexico, a commercial launch site built for enterprising space tourists and commercial companies wishing to operate in space. There have already been launches and the spaceport hopes to be fully operational in early 2010.
Most importantly, many have envisioned Richardson as being a Vice Presidential running mate for democratic front runner Hillary Clinton.
So why won’t Richardson talk about UFOs now that he’s running for President? Well maybe it’s like buying a lottery ticket. You have to be in the right place at the right time.
Today in Nashau, New Hampshire, Bill Richardson did what few campaigning politicians has ever done. He answered every question during a town-hall forum meeting at the Nashua Public Library. Usually, a campaigner will make a short speech, take a few questions and then run to the next stop.
“I don’t parachute in here for one hour at a hall and then leave. I come two, three days at a time. We’ve got six months left, and I’m going to be here a lot. I may end up renting an apartment,” Richardson told the crowd.
Well, all you Ufologists looking for truth and disclosure. Start your engines. You now know where to find Bill Richardson, and it sounds like he's willing to talk.
