I am from India.I saw one in 1998 when me and one of my friends and his family were witnessing the Leonid shower. I do accept that I have an interest in these things/phenomena but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I will witness one. It was somewhere between 12:00am and 1:00am and me and my friend were probably the only ones left. . It was huge and silent and flew slowly almost right on top of our heads. Couldn't assign a shape. There were blinking lights. A girl who was my classmate back then also witnessed it and she too couldn't understand what she was seeing. She stayed some 20Kms or more from us. Me and my friend never thought about it. In fact we didnt even talk about it the next day. It was as though we hadn't seen such a thing.
It is difficult to convince the powers that be. I am sure they know all this and more. To accept it openly would be equivalent to opening a pandoras box. It'll throw up a lot of questions and the answers will most likely turn our ideologies and beliefs on its head. I think most of our people as a civilization haven't reached the maturity level to accept that these things exist. We need to evolve a lot more.
