George Bush and the Alien

UPDATED ! !

There have been a series of hoaxes in the UFO community of late. So, when I received an e-mail showing an alien over George Bush's shoulder during a recent Rose Garden news conference, my first instinct was that the cockroaches of the UFO world were at it again.

I searched the internet and sure enough, there it was on the original August 31 "Bush weighs in on Mortgage Mess" Reuters video.

It is also on the "PBS NewsHour 20070831 Bush-Bernacki Bailout" video story probably using the same video feed.

The CNN story video had the same apparent figure in the window.

The best video is provided by John Scheldroup. It is from MSNBC. This is the full speech and is so good I think an unbiased video analyst could give a good guess at what is in the window.

The photos

A discussion ensued on UFO Updates related to this story. Nick Balaskas posted his view of what the "alien" might be -

Could this apparent "alien" actually be a reflected image of a
silver coloured portable CD player/boom box which has stylish
black wraparound speakers that look like eyes? This boom box
seems to be resting on a less reflective (wood?) such as a desk.

When I posted on UFO Updates that the "alien" was probably just a reflection off the window John Scheldroup posted a detailed analysis showing that I might have guessed too soon.
